Covid UPDATE FROM NORTHWEST WATERPROOFING

As global uncertainty over, and the battle against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues, we would like to share an update on the measures we’re taking to ensure the safety of our workers and the timely completion of our clients’ projects. These are our top priorities:

 1. Protecting the health and safety of our workers

2. Minimizing interruptions to project execution

3. Monitoring state and federal guidelines and regulations

Protecting the health and safety of our workers

We are following the CDC guidelines about illness prevention and ways to minimize the spread of the virus on job sites and after leaving job sites. This includes handwashing, cleaning / disinfecting surface areas, wearing masks, and social distancing of at least six feet, wherever possible. We are providing all required masks, gloves, safety glasses and other protective equipment to each of our workers.

Minimizing interruptions to project execution

In both Oregon and Washington the governors have exempted most construction activity from having to shut down. The construction activities on all of our projects are proceeding without interruption – albeit with many fundamental operational changes. Our supply chain partners continue to provide us with all of the materials and equipment that we need on each job.

Monitoring of state and federal guidelines and regulations

We are diligently following all of the COVID-19 Job Site Safety Procedures that have been established by the governors of Washington and Oregon. We will immediately adopt any new state or federal guidelines that develop over the next weeks and months necessary to keep the work site safe for all workers, as well as for all the other people that come on site; architects, owners & owners’ agents, consultants, inspectors, delivery people, and others.

Northwest Waterproofing will continue to carry out our work as efficiently as we can while complying with all the new and evolving safety, hygiene, and social distancing protocols that affect construction. All this takes a broad team effort and we are proud to be working with our team, clients and partners in cooperation towards this shared goal.
